Videography Usage Policy

Purpose

This policy outlines the proper use of the studio and podcast room for Loan Officers (LOs) and their partners, ensuring all guidelines are followed for collaborative content creation in compliance with regulatory standards.  

Policy

Studio/On-Location Filming

• Filming is reserved exclusively for Loan Officers (LOs) and their Realtor partners to collaborate on video content. 
• Important: The LO must be physically present in the video. Realtor Partners are not permitted to book videography services for individual filming sessions without their LO actively participating in the recording.  
  
• Failure to comply may raise concerns under Section 8 of RESPA, which prohibits kickbacks and unearned fees. To avoid any potential violations, all collaborations must be based on legitimate business practices and the LO’s active involvement.  
  

Podcast Room Use:

• Loan Officers may book videography services for individual use or with guests.
• Realtor Partners can only utilize videography services if the LO is present.

Procedure for Booking

• All bookings must be made through the designated scheduling system.
• Prior to approval, it will be verified that the Loan Officer will be present for studio use.

Compliance:
 Any violation of these policies may result in restricted access to the studio and podcast room. Non-compliance could lead to potential violations under RESPA, particularly Section 8, regarding improper compensation for services.
